I am almost there… almost there to complete the 9 “Simbang Gabi” in preparation to the Birth of Jesus Christ. Today is the 7th night, at bawat gabi natututo ako at napapalapit sa mga turo ng Panginoon. This will be the first time in my life that I have completed a “Simbang Gabi”.
Last year, together with some of my close friends, we tried to complete the attendance but we failed instead we enjoy ourselves na nakatambay sa coffee shop or magkaka-kain ng kung anu-ano tulad ng isaw. Those were the times that we (or maybe its only I) is/are very certain that all of us will be good friends… forever. As time goes by, those thoughts were easily faded… Yes, I know that, “Friends may come, friends may go… and nothing really last forever!” Pero thankful padin ako dahil natutunan ko na ilugar ang sarili ko…
Ngayon nagkikita ulit kami sa simbahan… Isan’ taon na din ang nakalipas, nakarating na ang isa sa ibang bansa… ang isa naman kumuha na ulit ng exam (Nursing Liscensure), madami na rin ang nagbago ngunit ito lang ang natutunan ko… “You can’t hold too many things, no matter what you do to make them stay and no matter how much they want to stay, the wind will always blow them away. So learn to let go and choose carefully which you want to stay, because like the sand, only those which in the center of your palm will last”. Hope someday masabi ko kung gaano kasama ang loob ko sakanila… But I’m trying to forget it… past is past!
